Job summary

Vivo Infusion is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our Flower Mound, TX infusion center. You will welcome patients, assist clinicians, and provide compassionate care in a fast-paced setting.

This full-time, non-exempt position runs Monday–Friday 7:30am–5:00pm with robust benefits including PTO, wellness reimbursements, tuition assistance, and life/ disability coverage. Prior clinical and administrative experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, required.
• Medical Assistant Certification, preferred.
• CPR/BLS, required prior to start date.
• 1 year of clinical environment experience, required.
• 1 year in an administrative/patient-facing/customer service role, required.
• Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of patient care activities per standards of practice.
• Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update charts.
• Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses for continuity of care.
• Provide admin support: greet patients, scheduling, calls, and payments.
• Oversees efficient turnover of exam rooms and assists in the exam room.
• Assist provider in the exam room as requested.
• Collect, prepare, and submit ordered lab specimens.
• Assist in obtaining prior authorizations for treatments and documents.
• Triage patient calls and document messages.
• Order and manage supplies under supervisor.
• Disinfect and stock exam rooms.
• Assist in obtaining records for patient charts.
• Follow infection control protocols and CDC guidelines.
