Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living, LLC in Richmond, VA is seeking a full-time Medication Aide/Med Tech to administer prescribed medications and treatments to residents. You will follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration, document in MAR/TAR in real time, observe residents during and after passes, and report concerns promptly.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, Medication Administration certification, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong documentation and communication

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and age 18+.
• Medication Administration certification required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.
• Senior care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
• Document in MAR/TAR accurately and in real time.
• Observe residents during and after medication passes.
• Monitor symptoms and administer medications as ordered for relief.
• Complete narcotic counts per policy and maintain carts/rooms.
• Follow infection control and safety standards.
