Job Location: Apostolic Christian Restmor Inc - Morton, IL

Salary Range: $18.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a full-time Maintenance Worker!

Summary:

Responsible for general maintenance duties involving the physical structure, equipment, and furnishings

Essential Duties:

• Completes maintenance and repairs of equipment, building, and furnishings as directed
• Assists in the Preventive Maintenance program for the facility, equipment, and furnishings
• Assists with automobile and tractor maintenance
• Assists with the Emergency and Fire Safety Program
• Assist in maintaining facility and equipment at level that satisfies codes, and regulatory agencies, and safety for staff and residents
• Assist in the receiving function of all supplies and equipment shipped to the facility
• Performs mowing and landscaping of facility grounds
• Assists with snow removal
• Assists with set-up for programs/events
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be mechanically inclined and have a basic knowledge of at least one of the trades
• Ability to follow directions and machinery/equipment manuals
• Must have general maintenance experience
• Ability to see, hear, and speak clearly
• Excellent communication and organizational skills required
• Positive attitude and caring approach required
• Must have the ability to work 7:00am-3:30pm Monday-Friday as well as an on-call weekend rotation (typically one week per month)

Physical Demands:

Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, and reaching. Lifting up to 75lbs. Pushing/Pulling up to 75lbs. Frequent exposure to various undesirable environmental and hazardous elements. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
