Job summary

Carle Health seeks a physical therapy professional to evaluate and treat patients across ages, adjusting care plans based on response and evidence. A lymphedema certification is preferred but not required. M-F, 8-hour days, full-time schedule with sign-on bonus eligibility.

The role involves designing care plans, educating patients and families, and ensuring safe transfers with proper body mechanics. Licensure as a PT (IDFPR) and BLS are required, with ongoing stroke-care education emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy and licensure as a PT.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ongoing continuing education in acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient transfers using safe body mechanics to prevent injury.
• Educates patients, family, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Develops and updates an individualized plan of care with goals and discharge plan.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes.
• Documents care in the patient record per policy.
• Supervises PTA and rehabilitation technicians as required by regulation.
