Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a PT/ PTA/ OT to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, with a focus on lymphedema care. Qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree, a PT license (IDFPR), and BLS within 30 days. A sign-on bonus is offered and shifts are typically M-F, 8-hour days.

Lymphedema certification is preferred but not required. The role requires collaboration with the rehab team, documentation per policy, and ongoing continuing education for acute stroke care as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) license required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire (AHA).
• Lymphedema certification preferred but not required.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and outcomes.
• Performs examinations using reliable, valid methods relevant to chief complaint and history.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine need for further therapy services as appropriate.
• Utilizes support personnel according to legal and ethical guidelines and provides feedback.
• Collaborates with the medical team and supervises PTA and rehab technicians.
