Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students in a family-like environment.

The role begins with a nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. This is a unique, rewarding career requiring high commitment.

Qualifications

• Requires two-year married couple status (two-person role).
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children in the home.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship to students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and engage in development and recreation with students.
• Lead daily devotions and participate in Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
