Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, seeks married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. You will reside in on-campus student homes, supervising 8–13 students and fostering a structured, family-like environment that supports academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role begins with nine days on, followed by three off, and may transition to a placed houseparent with ongoing care of the same student group.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth
• Two-person role for couples who are legally married for at least two years
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older
• No more than three dependent children in the home
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; staff are role models

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship
• Manage household routines and student schedules
• Administer medications and monitor student wellness
• Drive students to activities and participate in developmental/recreational activities
• Lead daily devotions and attend Sunday Chapel with students
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting
