Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking married couples to serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents. The role involves living in on-campus student homes with 8-13 students, providing care, guidance, supervision, and support to foster academic, emotional, and social development.

Couples follow a nine-on, three-off schedule and may move into a Placed Houseparent role over time. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing routines, medications, driving to activities, and leading

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth or volunteering with youth.
• Couples must be legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student vans.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily supervision and mentorship for students.
• Manage household routines and student schedules.
• Administer medications and ensure student wellness.
• Drive students to activities and plan/deploy developmental and recreational activities.
• Lead daily devotions and accompany students to Sunday Chapel.
• Oversee budgeting and household reporting.
