Job summary

Westminster Oaks has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Cook I. The role prepares and serves quality foods including salads, sandwiches and pantry items for residents, guests and staff, and bakes hot items under supervision.

Responsibilities include hot and cold food prep under direct supervision, accurate portioning, delivering to service areas, and maintaining clean, safe workstations in a high-volume kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months experience in a full-service culinary setting.
• Florida SafeStaff certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot food under supervision of cook and follows standardized recipes.
• Performs cold food preparation under guidance of cook.
• Distributes prepared food to all service areas accurately and restocks as needed.
• Maintains station cleanliness, safety and organization.
• Assists with kitchen and equipment sanitation and organization.
