Job summary

Hyatt Place, located in Downtown Columbia, is hiring for full-time Front Desk Associates to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Shifts are 3pm-11pm; weekday and weekend availability is required.

As a Front Desk Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional and memorable experience with strong customer service, attention to detail, and a cheerful personality.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience working as a hotel front desk agent required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Competent computer skills including Word and Excel.
• Experience using hotel reservation systems is a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at check-in with a smile and warm welcome, and complete the registration process.
• Greet guests at check-out with a smile and warm greeting and complete the check-out process.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel information and answer questions.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and loyalty programs.
• Answer phones promptly and assist guests in a friendly, efficient manner.
• Respond to guest inquiries promptly and resolve issues, escalating when necessary.
• Complete start/end-of-shift tasks and reports.
• Inform customers about payment methods and verify credit card data.
• Prepare, stock, and provide beverages and food as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized environment for guests.
