Mercantile Bank is seeking a Full Time Float Teller to support the St. Johns office and cover the St. Johns, Lansing, and Ithaca markets.

The role is onsite and focuses on delivering exceptional customer service while processing a range of transactions in our Central Market branches. You will maintain cash drawers, promote a positive bank image, identify cross-sell opportunities, and refer customers to the right teams using our CRM system.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs teller transactions (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing) and balances cash drawer daily.
• Promotes quality customer service and builds positive relations with customers and team.
• Initiates sales, pursues cross-sell opportunities, and refers customers to the appropriate staff using CRM.
• Answers the telephone and directs customer inquiries to the right bank personnel.
