Job summary

IVI RMA North America is seeking a Float Phlebotomist based in Eatontown, NJ, with a home office in Eatontown. The position runs Monday through Friday from 5:30 am to 1:30 pm and may cover other offices in Freehold, Princeton and Marlton.

The role involves drawing blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in infertility diagnosis and treatment. The candidate will maintain EMR systems and support a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program is highly preferred.
• EMR experience is required.
• Phlebotomist licensure or certification as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures.
• Label, centrifuge and transport specimens per protocol.
• Identify patients and reassure them during procedures.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $25.00 Hourly

IVI RMA North America has a need for a Float Phlebotomist with home office in Eatontown, NJ. This will be Monday-Friday from 5:30am-1:30pm and covering other offices in Freehold, Princeton and Marlton.

This individual will draw blood from patients for laboratory procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of infertility. The Phlebotomist maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy Area.
• Reassures patients and provide comfort to ease anxieties.

Academic Training:

• Completion of a Phlebotomy Program– highly preferred (required in CA, WA, TX).
• Studies level: Certification
• Studies area: Phlebotomy Program

Position Requirements/Experience:

• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required
