The Bard Early Colleges, tuition-free, satellite campuses of BardCollege operated through partnerships with public school systems,are founded on the belief that many high-school-age students areeager and ready for the intellectual challenges of a collegeeducation.

Bard High School Early College (BHSEC) Baltimore, a partnershipbetween Bard College and the Baltimore City Public Schools inBaltimore (BCPS), Maryland, invites applications for a full-timefaculty position in Spanish Language and Literature, with a startdate of August 2026. The sub-field of specialization is open.

The Bard early colleges enable talented and highly motivatedstudents to complete a high school diploma and an Associate of Artsdegree from Bard College within four years of study. The academicprogram emphasizes small classes and a commitment to teaching adiverse student body.

The position requires educators who are passionate about theirfields of study and committed to advancing equity through rigorouscurricula made accessible to students with variedbackgrounds.

$60,662-$118,411 (compensation commensuratewith experience and based on school district pay scale)

Qualifications
  • An M.A. in Spanish or related field is required
  • A dedication to teaching is required

  • A strong commitment to equity and social justice
  • A strong commitment to opening up opportunities in educationfor underrepresented students
  • Candidates who will have a Ph.D. at the time of employment, orwho are ABD, with high school and/or college teaching experienceare preferred.
