Job summary

Maybelle Center is seeking an Environmental Services - Maintenance Technician to join the Environmental Services Team in Portland. The role ensures safe, efficient operation of building systems and involves preventive maintenance, addressing emergency repairs, and adhering to safety and building codes.

The Maintenance Technician collaborates with staff and residents to maintain a secure, comfortable environment with strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of experience in general maintenance, facilities maintenance, or a related field.
• Experience in building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing and painting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.
• Address emergency repairs promptly to minimize disruption.
• Maintain and repair building exteriors, interiors, and common areas.
• Support safety, compliance, and log maintenance activities for regulatory purposes.
• Assist with room turns, cleaning, and minor repairs as needed.
• Respond to resident and staff service requests and communicate progress.
