Job summary

Preble Street in Portland, ME is seeking a full-time Facilities Technician to join the Facilities team. The role involves minor repairs, painting, building maintenance, basic plumbing and wiring, and snow removal to keep buildings in good working order.

The schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm, with occasional weekend and evening hours. Benefits include health, dental, vision, and retirement plans, plus generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• Reliable skill set in carpentry, plumbing, and painting with demonstrated mechanical ability.

• Ability to drive a small cargo truck with a valid license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor repairs, painting, building maintenance, and basic plumbing and wiring.
• Respond to emergent needs and custodial tasks as needed.
• Ensure all Preble Street buildings and systems are in good working order.
• Support facilities and custodial staff and management in daily operations.
