Job summary

Vanguard College Prep in the United States is hiring full-time educators to build core language and college-readiness skills. You will teach English to small groups, track progress, and help students prepare for ACT and SAT.

The ideal candidate has a humanities degree from US schools (Master's preferred), teaching experience, a 3.5+ GPA, and strong verbal English. The role includes paid training, a comprehensive benefits package, and opportunities for career growth in a fast-growing startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in humanities from US schools (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
• Teaching experience in English and/or college-level Writing Center (1+ years).
• Demonstrated academic excellence (3.5+ GPA) and strong verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach small groups of students in English core skills for college readiness and exams (ACT & SAT).
• Track student progress through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum and provide individualized growth opportunities.
• Maintain and update student lesson schedules, hold assignments accountable, and communicate professionally.
• Develop and execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum with creativity.
• Mentor middle and high school students navigating the college application process.
