Job summary

Vanguard College Prep seeks educators to teach English core skills and guide students toward top-tier college readiness scores. The role emphasizes individualized instruction and ongoing growth within a multi-phase curriculum.

Responsibilities include planning and updating lesson schedules, mentoring students through the college process, and innovating engaging curricula. Strong English proficiency and teaching experience are required; a humanities degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a humanities field (English, Creative Writing, Journalism, Publishing, etc.).
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach small groups of students in English core skills to promote long-term understanding and high scores on ACT & SAT.
• Track students’ progress through Vanguard’s multi-phase curriculum and support individualized growth.
• Maintain and update student lesson schedules and communicate professionally and promptly.
• Develop and innovate lesson plans and curriculum to adapt to student needs.
• Mentor middle and high school students through the college application process.
