Vanguard College Prep is seeking full-time educators to teach English core skills and guide students toward top college readiness scores. The role emphasizes individualized growth within a multi-phase curriculum and a collaborative, student-centered approach.

Ideal candidates hold a humanities degree (US) and 1+ year teaching English or college-level Writing Center experience, with strong verbal English skills and tech proficiency for lesson delivery and communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in humanities from US schools (master's preferred).
Teaching experience in English and/or college-level Writing Center (1+ years).
Academic excellence demonstrated (3.5+ GPA).
Strong verbal skills and mastery of the English language.
Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and G-Suites.

Responsibilities

Teach small groups of students in English core skills to promote long-term understanding of topics and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT).
Track students' progress through Vanguard's multi-phase curriculum with individualized growth opportunities.
Maintain and update student lesson schedules; hold students accountable for assignments and communicate professionally.
Spearhead development and execution of evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
Mentor middle and high school students through the college-application process.
