Dorsey College in Roseville, MI seeks an Electrical Technician Instructor to deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on labs across multiple courses in the Electrical Technician Program. You will connect theory to real-world applications, monitor progress, and align instruction with college policies and safety standards.

The role requires a strong electrical background and the ability to teach adult learners; no prior teaching experience is required.

Formación

• The candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and significant electrical trade experience.
• Teaching or mentoring experience in a trade or educational setting is helpful but not required.
• Working knowledge across a broad range of electrical technician subjects and NEC familiarity.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and deliver classroom lessons and hands-on labs using the approved course outline.
• Collaborate with the Lead Instructor on program outcomes and course sequencing.
• Demonstrate electrical techniques, safety, and proper use of tools and equipment.
• Teach NEC and relevant industry standards and ensure safe lab practices.
• Prepare materials, maintain a safe lab, and document student progress and attendance.
• Support enrollment, retention, and job placement activities as needed.
