Job summary

Pueblo Community College is seeking a Custodian I to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and the public at our Pueblo campus. The role involves using custodial chemicals, dusting, mopping, and operating floor machines.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of custodial experience, be willing to work varied shifts including holidays, and demonstrate strong customer service. A Colorado driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of custodial experience as the primary function of the job.
• Must be able to perform strenuous physical labor.
• Explain use and care of equipment in detail on your application.
• Willing to work different shifts (day and/or night), including holidays if necessary.
• Must provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and clean environment for students, staff and the public.
• Use custodial chemicals in daily tasks.
• Dust and wet mop floors in common areas, classrooms and hallways; deep vacuum carpeted areas.
• Operate floor scrubbers, carpet extractors, and floor buffers.
• Assist with snow removal up to 10 feet from buildings.
