Job summary

Colorado State University is seeking a Custodian I in the Facilities Management division to provide cleaning, sanitizing, and basic floor care across campus facilities. The role includes AM or PM shifts with potential weekend coverage and a pre-employment background check.

Six months of custodial experience is required; preferred candidates will operate standard custodial tools and equipment and contribute to a safe, sanitary campus environment with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Six months of custodial services experience in an institutional or commercial environment.
• Experience operating basic custodial tools with minimal supervision.
• Experience with snow removal.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial services, including cleaning, sanitizing and stocking of restrooms, removal of trash and recyclable materials, window and entry glass cleaning, carpeted and hardfloor maintenance including vacuuming, spot cleaning and extracting of carpeted floors and vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, burnishing, stripping and refinishing of hard surface floors.
• Provide for building access and security through snow removal services within schedule and on weekends as necessary and through daily unlock and lock up services.
• Provide custodial support for athletic and university events campus-wide both within the regular schedule and on weekends when necessary.
