Job summary

Sequim Rehabilitation is seeking a dependable Full-Time Cook to join our culinary team. You will prepare meals for residents according to established menus and dietary guidelines while ensuring quality and safety.

The role offers a collaborative kitchen, opportunities to assist with menu planning, and shifts that support patient-focused dining. ServSafe certification is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Dependable with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Culinary certification or related training is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals meet quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Follow all applicable health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Monitor food and supply inventory and assist with ordering as needed.
• Work collaboratively with culinary team members to support efficient daily operations.
• Assist with menu planning and meal preparation as needed.
• Help create a positive dining experience for our residents.
