Salmon Creek Post Acute & Rehabilitation in Vancouver, WA seeks a Dietary Cook to lead meal preparation, supervise kitchen operations, and support dietary functions for residents. You will ensure meals meet nutritional needs, safety standards, and presentation expectations.

The role emphasizes teamwork with the Dietary Service Supervisor and other staff, compliance with diets, and maintaining a well-organized kitchen. Full-time and PRN opportunities are available to fit your schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma preferred, or the ability to read and write English effectively.
• Experience: Previous culinary experience is a plus.
• Knowledge: Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of foods in larger quantities; knowledge of special diets, seasoning, cooking times, temperatures; skilled in estimating quantities and minimizing waste.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager.
• Receive reports on meals for normal and special diets, coordinate food and supply requirements.
• Adhere to special diet orders and use approved substitutions.
• Follow food production plans to ensure quality and presentation.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in coordination with meal times.
