Commonwealth Senior Living in Virginia Beach is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean and safe environment in all areas of the community. This full-time position covers an early shift (6am–2pm) with rotating weekends, located at 440 N Lynnhaven Road.

Responsibilities include daily housekeeping tasks, safety compliance, resident room cleaning, carpet and floor care, laundry, and reporting maintenance needs.

Qualifikationen

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions with established procedures as assigned.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean floors, to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets, to include vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean and polish furnishings in hallways and in stairways/elevator where applicable.
• Clean resident rooms including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting, sanitizing bathrooms, mirrors, and pictures.
• Collect all trash from rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily.
• Clean walls, windows and baseboards; keep windows, cabinets, doors, and mirrors smudge-free.
• Assist in setting up dining room, activity room, and living room as necessary.
• Report needed repairs to maintenance personnel or Executive Director.
• Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping equipment and storage areas; keep hazards away.
• Respond to residents’ needs as requested.
• Launder community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director of supply needs in a timely manner.
• Report accidents/incidents to Executive Director the day of occurrence.
