Job summary

Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness of resident apartments and all common areas in accordance with our standards.

You will vacuum, mop, dust, clean bathrooms and kitchens, stock linens and supplies, and work as part of a team to support residents and staff. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred and reliable transportation is required.

Responsibilities

• Communicates and works as a team to maintain the cleanliness of resident areas while respecting personal property and space.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, clean, and disinfect bathrooms/kitchens, clean windows, carpets, and baseboards, doors, and furnishings, empty trash bins, and other tasks as requested by supervisor.
• Keeps fresh linens, towels, and cleaning supplies stocked.
• Uses a high level of detail while cleaning and adheres to sanitation and safety procedures.

Salary Range: $15.19 - $18.60 Hourly

Full-time, Monday – Friday, with rotating weekends. Flexible shifts available.

Position Summary

The Housekeeper is responsible for the cleanliness of the residential apartments and the facility common areas, in accordance with established policies and procedures. The Housekeeper performs general housekeeping in all common areas, guest rooms, residential laundries, indoor and outdoor activity areas, etc.

• Uses a high level of detail while cleaning and adheres to sanitation and safety procedures.

Education and/or Experience

Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous housekeeping experience is preferred.
