Job summary

North Houston Transitional Care is seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care to residents in accordance with assessment and care plans, collaborating with nurses and supervisors to maintain high-quality care.

Responsibilities include accurately recording vital signs, assisting with daily living activities, ensuring room readiness, protecting resident privacy, and adhering to safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications

• Licensed CNA as per state requirements.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Minimum education: 10th grade or higher.

Responsibilities

• Identify residents before treatments using wristband or photo ID.
• Record entries accurately on flow sheets, notes, or charts.
• Report changes in resident's condition to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Assist residents with daily activities and personal care.
• Maintain room readiness and ensure resident comfort and safety.
• Protect resident confidentiality and report privacy breaches.
• Follow policies on exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous materials.
• Use equipment only if trained and report any equipment defects.
