Job summary

MercyOne Dyersville Medical Center is seeking a Certified Aide to provide direct patient care under RN/LPN supervision. The CNA supports activities of daily living, promotes comfort and safety, and helps maintain a positive patient experience in an acute care setting.

You will assist with personal care, transfers, responding to calls, specimen transport, and collaboration with the care team. The position is full-time (36 hours/week), day shift 6:00am–2:00pm, with rotating weekends and holiday

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years old.
• CNA certification and registration required.
• Mandatory Reporter training within 3 months of hire; IL facilities exempt.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, mobility.
• Safely transfer and reposition patients using approved techniques and equipment.
• Respond to call bells and patient requests to ensure comfort.
• Collect, label, and transport specimens per infection prevention standards.
• Perform post-mortem care per hospital policies.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and staff to support outcomes.
