Job summary

Southside Market & Barbeque in Elgin, TX is seeking a friendly Customer Service Associate to greet guests, take orders, and assist in dine-in and to-go service. You will handle cash accurately, know the menu, and keep the cashier area organized while ensuring order accuracy.

Required are English fluency and prior cash handling; food handler certification and TABC may be needed. This full-time role offers benefits including tuition reimbursement, 401(k) match, employee discounts, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Standing, walking, ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates well with customers in person or via phone to ensure accuracy of order and customer satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu, demonstrates suggestive selling.
• Packages food correctly for dine in and to go orders.
• Ensures order completion and accuracy.
• Uses register to track all transactions.
• Demonstrates accurate cash handling abilities and complies with Cashier policy.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of cashier area and cash drawer.
• Follows all TABC regulations for responsible alcohol sales.
