Southside Market & Bbq in Elgin, TX is seeking a full-time cashier/customer service team member. You will greet customers, take orders, and process transactions while ensuring accuracy and customer satisfaction.

You must have a Food Handler Certificate and, if 18+, a TABC certification. Prior cash handling experience is preferred and you will interact with guests in English. Expect a dynamic, hospitality-focused environment with a focus on premium service and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Food Handler Certificate required prior to day 1.
• TABC required if 18+ years of age.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Ability to listen, read, write and speak fluently in English for all job related circumstances.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Practical problem solving skills.
• Physical ability to stand/walk, lift up to 40 pounds, and work in a moderate to loud environment.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with customers in person or via phone to ensure accuracy of order and satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of menu and demonstrates suggestive selling.
• Packages food correctly for dine-in and to-go orders.
• Ensures order completion and accuracy.
• Uses register to track all transactions and handles cash.
• Maintains cashier area and cash drawer cleanliness and organization.
• Follows all regulations for responsible alcohol sales (TABC).
