Covenant Retirement Communities & Covenant Care in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to support campus cleaning and minor maintenance across facilities. The role involves following schedules, using infection control guidelines, and assisting with resident moves as needed.

The ideal candidate will have housekeeping/maintenance experience, strong English communication, and reliability to manage daily tasks with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• High school education is preferred.
• Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
• Dependability, common sense, and ability to organize daily cleaning schedule.
• Willingness to work weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and infection control guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs, plunging toilets and replacing batteries.
• Carry out cleaning tasks inside and outside per department standards and schedule.
• Maintain floors (sweeping, mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, buffing).
• Move furniture as needed and assist in resident moves during transfers/discharges.
• Participate in campus linen program and in making beds in guest rooms or residences.
