Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks a Bilingual (Spanish) County Social Services Aide 2 to provide vital client support, interpretation, and clerical assistance across multiple units. The role emphasizes helping community members access information and resources while supporting staff with field visits and child supervision when needed.

The position requires Spanish fluency, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform data entry across several systems.

Qualifications

• One year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 1, or
• Graduation from high school or equivalent with two years of public contact work in a human services agency including one year of interviewing and information gathering
• Associate's degree in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or related social sciences
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training
• Applicants may meet educational requirements within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree

Responsabilités

• Provide guidance to callers and walk-ins by offering information and connecting them with staff or agency
• Deliver English and Spanish interpretation and translation during office, field, and institutional interactions
• Accompany staff on visits and assist with client transportation while supervising children as needed
• Complete copying, filing, archiving, scanning, faxing, and inventory monitoring to support office operations
• Enter information into KEA, HCSIS, CPR-Web, ACYS, SAMS, and other developing systems accurately
• Greet the public, share information, and address routine concerns at the DHS lobby and phone lines
