Job summary

Heritage Bank's Tumwater Branch is seeking a Bank Teller to assist customers with financial goals, handle transactions, and support branch sales initiatives. This full-time, onsite role offers a 8:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. schedule and a competitive base salary.

Responsibilities include building relationships, accurate cash handling, product promotion, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance. Qualifications require 6 months of customer service or 1 year of cash handling, a high school diploma, and

Qualifications

• 6 months customer service experience (Level I)
• 1 year recent cash handling and customer service experience in a financial services industry (Level II)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and learn new technologies
• DNA or Fiserv experience preferred
• Able to comply with banking laws and internal policies
• Strong reading/writing/speaking English; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains strong relationships and provides exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Performs routine paying/receiving duties and maintains an accurate cash drawer within authority limits.
• Promotes, explains, and refers bank products and services based on customer needs.
• Maintains confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.
• Complies with all policies, procedures, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Actively participates in branch marketing and sales promotions.
• Contributes to branch administrative duties as required and assigned
