Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role handles day-to-day accounting, bank reconciliations, and supports the month-end close process.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of accounting experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). We offer a remote-first workplace and a comprehensive benefits package.

• Remote-friendly and GAAP aware is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and day-to-day accounting tasks.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards.
