Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Staff Accountant to join the accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This role includes day-to-day accounting activities, bank reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process.

Ideal candidates have a 2–3 year accounting background, a degree in Accounting or Finance, and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Remote options are available for qualifying states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills with pivot tables and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities including bank reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Assist month-end close with balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors with requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our accounting and finance team, reporting to the Controller. This will be a key role in our accounting function.

Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including bank reconciliations.

• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
• Assist the month-end close process, including balance sheet and P&L reconciliations.
• Ensure deadlines are met for financial reporting and management review.
• Support external auditors by providing requested documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and GAAP standards

Preferred undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance, with 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.

Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions)
