Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members serve as student success coaches and mentors in an elementary through high school setting. You will coach, mentor and support students to improve attendance, literacy, math performance, and positive behavior while working with teachers and school staff to monitor progress.

We provide 2–4 weeks of training at the start, and a range of benefits including health coverage and a bi-weekly living stipend.

Responsibilities

• Coach identified students 1:1 or in small groups
• Develop literacy and math skills with varied activities
• Create and implement a behavior management system
• Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress in City Year’s student data system
• Support extended day and after‑school programs and events
