Qualifications

• Associate's Degree, or successful ParaPro exam.
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication with children and adults.
• Experience providing direct assistance to students to improve daily living skills.
• ABA training/experience; RBT certification strongly preferred.
• Massachusetts DESE licensure in a related field is a plus.
• Any superintendent-approved alternatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and student support based on IEP/504 plans.
• Monitor student behavior per IEP/BIP.
• Provide discrete trial instruction and document outcomes.
• Adapt assistance with guidance from teachers and specialists.
• Observe and record academic, behavioral, and social progress.
• Assist in crisis situations using district safety protocols.
• Provide verbal support, prompting, redirection and modeling for activities.
• Assist with personal care if required.
• Assist with student assessments as directed.
• Perform other duties as required.
