Job summary

Kapitus, Inc. seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain backend services for internal customers. You’ll focus on Python/Flask, build on AWS Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS and DynamoDB, and contribute to scalable architectures in an Agile environment.

You will mentor teammates, drive code quality, and help shape deployment pipelines while collaborating with product and tech leads to deliver reliable lending solutions for small businesses.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of Python (5+ years) with Flask preferred.
• Experience with AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• 2+ years of Salesforce experience.
• 3+ years of experience building or maintaining deployment pipelines and CI/CD.
• Write clean, readable, well-documented code using modern practices.
• Experience in Agile environments using Scrum.
• Strong knowledge of software development, testing, maintainability and documentation.
• Experience in financial services or lending is a strong plus.
• AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for internal customers from the ground up.
• Define architecture, patterns, and practices for a new platform; integrate with legacy apps.
• Develop backend services in Python, with emphasis on Flask.
• Build and integrate solutions using AWS services (Lambda, Cognito, SNS, SQS, DynamoDB).
• Maintain and improve deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes.
