Job summary

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products seeks a Software Engineer with full stack experience to build scalable, high-performance applications. You will work on cloud-native services, microservices, and data-intensive features that improve guest and cast experiences.

The role requires hands-on coding, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to prototype new technologies. Strong Java/Spring, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering, analysis and design with full SDLC experience.
• 3+ years in Java, Spring Framework, SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBs.
• 3+ years of Internet technologies and microservices architectures.
• 3+ years developing cloud-native apps, preferably AWS.
• Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and monitoring tools (Splunk, OTEL, Grafana).
• Strong analytical skills and OO design principles.

Responsibilities

• Implement reliable, high-throughput, low-latency code for sophisticated algorithms.
• Collaborate with engineers, product owners and partners on reusable solutions.
• Experiment and prototype with relevant new technologies.
• Independently analyze and solve issues as an individual contributor.
• Troubleshoot and fix problems in lower and production environments.
• Write unit and component tests to ensure high-quality code.
• Monitor and improve production run quality of applications.
• Work in a scrum team and provide daily updates.
