Job summary

DX Technology in Orlando, FL seeks a Software Engineer to join Disney Parks, Experiences and Products' software team. You will work on full-stack development, building high-throughput, scalable services and collaborating with product owners and engineers to deliver reliable solutions.

The role requires 3+ years in Java, Spring, SQL/NoSQL, cloud native AWS, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes. You’ll write tests, participate in scrum, and help improve guest and cast experiences with modern tech.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering with full SDLC experience.
• 3+ years of Java, Spring, SQL and NoSQL (MongoDB) experience.
• Experience with microservices, cloud-native AWS, and Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Implement reliable, high-throughput, low-latency, scalable and well-documented code to tackle sophisticated algorithms.

Team Description

Disney Parks, Experiences and Products is seeking a Software Engineer with a passion for building world‑class products and enabling our businesses to be future ready. We are looking for an engineer who has full stack programming experience and is enthusiastic to build and maintain new applications, improving our Guest and Cast experiences.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience Domain knowledge in multiple technical and business areas A minimum of 3 years of software engineering, analysis and design with full software development lifecycle experience.
• 3+ years of Java, Spring Framework, SQL (AroraDB) and NoSQL-based databases (MongoDB), writing complex SQL queries and building highly scalable and highly performant distributed applications and web services experience.
• Exposure to GraphQL / Graph DBs A minimum of 3 years Internet technologies, microservices architectures experience.
• A minimum of 3 year of developing cloud native applications, preferably in AWS experience Experience with Docker / Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools Knowledge of Splunk SPLs, App Dynamics, OTEL, Grafana Monitoring Tools Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming with an understanding of design principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the commerce space and products / pricing / inventory domains

Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field or related equivalent experience #DISNEYTECH

Salary Range

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $111,900 - $150,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
