Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team seeks a seasoned software engineer to design, build, and support full‑stack applications and integrations for US Digital solutions. You’ll work hands-on across UI, API, data, and cloud components in an agile environment, applying SRE, DevOps, and AI-enabled tooling to improve reliability and velocity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and supporting full-stack applications, APIs, integrations, batch processes, data flows, and customer-facing digital platforms.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, and related software engineering practices, including CI/CD and cloud platforms.
• Experience applying Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles for observability, monitoring, and incident response.
• Experience with cloud platforms, container technologies, and observability tools like Splunk, Grafana, and AppDynamics.
• Exposure to AI-enabled engineering, AI SRE, or AIOps capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full stack software applications across UI, API, data, and integration layers.
• Deliver high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable code with modern engineering practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Analyze requirements and partner with product teams to deliver enhancements to applications and platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex software defects across multiple components.
• Apply site reliability practices to improve availability, performance, and observability.
