Job summary

MetLife’s Global Technology team is hiring a senior software engineer to design, build, and support full-stack applications across UI, API, data, and integration layers.

You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, applying SRE principles, AI-enabled tooling, and modern DevOps practices to deliver reliable customer-facing digital experiences. Hybrid in-office presence is expected in the US.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and supporting full-stack applications, APIs, integrations, and data flows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full stack software applications across UI, API, data, and integration layers.
• Deliver high-quality, secure, scalable, and maintainable code with modern software engineering practices (code reviews, automated testing, version control, CI/CD).
• Analyze requirements and translate into engineering solutions with product/platform teams.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex software defects across applications, API, data, and integration components.
• Apply site reliability engineering practices to improve availability, performance, resiliency, observability, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
