Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a full‑stack engineer to join our Experimentation Platform team. You’ll build across backend services, SDKs, and the Decision Portal UI used by thousands of internal users.

You will report to the engineering manager on the Decision Experience team, with a hybrid schedule across US cities. You’ll own features end‑to‑end, collaborating with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Infra teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in CS or equivalent.
• 2+ years building web applications end-to-end using TypeScript with React on the frontend.
• Strong CS fundamentals and OOP.
• Deep understanding of REST/gRPC and experience designing, implementing, and consuming backend APIs.
• Experience with database technologies and choosing appropriate storage layers.
• Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Experience with testing (unit/integration/end-to-end) across frontend and backend.
• A product mindset applied to building platform services and tools.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, Cursor).
• Nice to have AWS and Big Data tech experience.

Responsibilities

• Own features end-to-end, from APIs and data models to the React UI in our Decision Portal.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Data Infrastructure teams.
• Evolve the platform with new statistical methods, ML, AI, and causal inference techniques.
• Introduce cutting-edge technologies into how experiments are configured, launched, and read out.
• Work across backend, frontend, and data domains as needs arise.
• Contribute to system design and product experience for internal users.
