Job summary

DoorDash’s Experimentation Platform team is hiring a full-stack engineer to build across backend services, SDKs and the Decision Portal UI used by thousands of internal users. You’ll own features end-to-end, from APIs to the React UI, collaborating with product engineers, data scientists and ML engineers to enable rapid, data-driven experimentation.

The role emphasizes evolving the platform with new statistical methods, ML/AI techniques and cutting-edge tooling, including LLM-powered solutions,

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry experience building web applications end-to-end using TypeScript with React on the frontend.
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals and OOP languages.
• Deep understanding of REST/gRPC principles and experience designing, implementing, and consuming backend APIs.
• Experience with database technologies and choosing storage layers.
• Backend experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or Go.
• Experience with testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) across frontend and backend.
• Product mindset when building platform services and user-facing tools.
• Proficiency with AI coding tools across the software lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Work on enhancing and simplifying the Experimentation platform used by almost every engineer at DoorDash.
• Possibility to build a new Experimentation platform from the ground up and influence system design and product experience.
• Own features end-to-end, from APIs and data models to the React UI in the Decision Portal.
• Collaborate with Product Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, ML Engineers and Data Infra engineers on projects requiring UI tools for workflows, data discovery, integrations and visualizations.
• Introduce cutting-edge technologies, including LLM-powered tools, into configuration, launches and readings of experiments.
• Evolve the platform to handle new statistical methods, ML/AI techniques and advanced causal inference.
