Job summary

Ford Pro is seeking a Full Stack Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain end-to-end data solutions across ingestion, transformation, and analytics layers. You will develop RESTful/GraphQL APIs and a semantic data layer to deliver reliable, business-friendly metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, software engineering, or a full-stack data role.
• 3+ years in Python, Kotlin, and Java.
• 3+ years with Google BigQuery (modeling, optimization, cost management).
• 3+ years building REST and/or GraphQL APIs using FastAPI, Flask, Node.js/Express, or similar.
• 3 years building a semantic layer (dbt, LookML/Looker, Cube.js, AtScale).
• 2+ years with SQL and structured data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data solutions from ingestion to analytics-ready layers.
• Create scalable ETL/ELT pipelines ingesting data into BigQuery and cloud platforms.
• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal apps, dashboards, and external consumers.
• Design a semantic data layer to standardize business metrics and definitions.
• Maintain a data catalog to improve discovery, lineage, and metadata management.
• Optimize BigQuery performance with partitioning, clustering, and cost management.
• Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting for reliability.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, and engineering to translate requirements into models and API contracts.
• Enforce data governance and security controls (PII, RBAC, encryption).
