Job summary

Sartre Group is seeking a Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer for their AI Platform in NYC. The role is based in Midtown NYC with four days onsite, focusing on building internal tools and real-time UIs that integrate LLMs with financial data.

You will join a small engineering team to develop end-to-end systems from scratch. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of software engineering experience, strong TypeScript, Python, and SQL skills, and an interest in AI/LLMs.

Qualifications

• Experience building and owning end-to-end systems.
• Comfortable onsite 4 days/week in NYC.

Senior/Staff Full Stack Engineer – AI Platform (NYC, Hybrid)

Location: Midtown NYC (4 days onsite)

Compensation: $150,000–$250,000 base + bonus (DOE)

We're working with a fully funded AI startup backed by a major hedge fund. The team builds internal tools that use LLMs to extract insights from financial data (e.g., earnings calls, broker notes, internal research). The platform is live and used daily across the business.

You’ll be part of a small engineering team, building full-stack systems from scratch - real-time UIs, backend services, and LLM integrations.

Requirements

• 4+ years software engineering experience
• Strong in TypeScript, Python and SQL
• Experience building and owning end-to-end systems
• Comfortable working onsite 4 days/week in NYC
• Interest or experience in AI/LLMs (integration-level is fine)

Nice to Have

• Experience in startups or small engineering teams
• Background in internal tools, data platforms, or finance (not required)
