Job summary

Mission Staffing is seeking a Software Engineer to join a growing investment firm in New York, NY for an onsite full-time role focused on building the AI platforms powering the investment process.

You will own production systems end-to-end: agent harnesses, provenance tracking to verify AI output against source docs, and tool integrations—collaborating with investment, IR, and ops teams to turn workflows into reliable software.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience.
• Hands-on with LLM app patterns—agents, RAG, vector search, evals.
• Fluent with AI-assisted dev tools as a primary workflow.
• Track record of shipping production software independently.
• Bonus: experience in financial services or compliance-heavy domains.

Full -time position

Our client, a growing investment firm, is looking for a Software Engineer to help build the AI systems powering their investment process.

You'll own production systems end-to-end: agent harnesses, provenance tracking so investment teams can verify AI output against source docs, and tool integrations — working directly with investment, IR, and ops teams to turn their workflows into reliable software.

What we're looking for:

• 3-5 years of software engineering experience (Python, TypeScript/JS, Rust, or Go)
• Hands-on with LLM app patterns — agents, RAG, vector search, evals
• Fluent with AI-assisted dev tools (Claude Code, Cursor) as a primary workflow
• A track record of independently shipping production software
• Bonus: experience in financial services or other compliance-sensitive, document-heavy domains
