Our client, an investment firm, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join their team in New York, NY!

This role is ideal for an experienced software engineer who understands how to design and build enterprise-scale systems while thoughtfully incorporating modern AI technologies into production environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI engineering initiatives from concept through production deployment.
• Design and build scalable enterprise applications using Python and modern software engineering best practices.
• Partner with business stakeholders to identify high-value AI opportunities and translate them into technical solutions.
• Make architectural decisions around AI model selection, orchestration, retrieval strategies, and system design.
• Build AI-powered applications leveraging enterprise data while ensuring scalability, maintainability, and cost efficiency.
• Evaluate tradeoffs between different LLMs, AI frameworks, and implementation approaches.
• Establish engineering standards and best practices for AI development, code quality, testing, and deployment.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance and thoughtful collaboration.
• Collaborate across engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience operating within large enterprise technology environments.
• Exposure to cloud-native architectures and modern engineering practices.
• Financial services experience is helpful but not required.
