Job summary

Law Firms is seeking a California civil defense litigation attorney to join a fully remote practice. The role handles complex civil matters with opportunities through resolution and trial, including motor vehicle, medical malpractice, product liability, and other civil defense areas.

The successful candidate will manage diverse caseloads from inception to resolution, handle motions, discovery, depositions, and strategy, and work with experienced trial attorneys in a trial-focused practice.

Qualifications

• Civil litigation experience with strong legal research and writing skills.
• Experience handling motions, discovery, depositions, and litigation strategy.
• Strong organizational, communication, and case-management skills with the ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload involving complex civil defense and high-exposure litigation from inception through resolution.
• Handle key litigation responsibilities including motions, discovery, depositions, legal research, and case strategy.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies while working closely with experienced trial attorneys.
• Independently manage cases and maintain strong communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other involved parties.
• Contribute to a trial-focused practice handling sophisticated matters across multiple areas of civil defense.

Salary: Up to $250k Base

I’m currently recruiting for an established and growing California civil defense litigation practice seeking experienced attorneys to join its team.

The firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with experience handling complex civil matters and a strong interest in litigation through resolution and trial.

The practice handles a broad range of matters, including:

• Motor vehicle litigation
• Catastrophic injury
• Medical and dental malpractice
• Product liability
• Professional liability
• Insurance bad faith & coverage
• Government/public entity and municipal liability
• Transportation and rideshare litigation
• Legal malpractice
• Toxic torts & habitability
• Complex civil litigation

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload involving complex civil defense and high-exposure litigation, from case inception through resolution.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 - $250,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
