You'll manage complex civil defense matters, contribute to strategy, and work with public entities and other clients. This role provides meaningful ownership of cases and flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
• Strong deposition, motion and discovery experience preferred.
• Insurance defense, employment defense, public entity defense or related civil litigation experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters (Premises Liability, General Liability, Professional Liability, Products Liability) from inception through resolution.
• Handle pleadings, discovery, motions and other litigation proceedings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Develop litigation strategies and case assessments.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations and trials.
• Represent public entities and other clients in sophisticated civil defense matters.
