Job description

A growing and highly respected law firm is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with 5+ years of experience to join its litigation team. This is a fully remote opportunity for an attorney licensed in California who is looking to handle sophisticated litigation matters while enjoying the flexibility of working from home.

The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to independently manage cases from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters in California state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Handle all aspects of discovery, including written discovery and depositions.
• Attend court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences as needed.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and witnesses.
• Evaluate claims, assess risk, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings when necessary.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California Bar membership in good standing.
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong experience with motion practice, depositions, and case management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while managing deadlines and client expectations.
• Trial experience is a plus but not required.

Full-time, hybrid

• Salary range: $125,000-$150,000 annually + performance bonuses
